These pics crack me up. As you can see we had a great Halloween this year! We didn’t discover until it was time to go get the candy that we no longer had our Halloween buckets, luckily my mom had made the kids all a Halloween pillowcase so we used those instead. The kids were thrilled, probably because they had visions of filling the thing to the top. That didn’t happen
To tell the kids what we were going to have a wrapped up a big box and filled it with blue helium balloons so when they opened it the balloons all came out. At least that was the theory the execution didn’t go as well, some of the balloons got stuck in the box, but it was still cute.
This little dude had his face smashed up against the placenta the whole time so we didn’t get a profile pic of him. Actually we got really lame pics of him. I was totally disappointed with the doctor who did my ultrasound, he did it very fast hardly pausing to look at anything for very long. I think the whole thing lasted maybe 10 min. I know that is not normal since I’ve had a kid or two. It still irritates me when I think about it.
Yep they played but I can't find any pictures except this one of Aftyn’s team. They all had great seasons this year as always very fun to watch them! With four kids playing it made Saturdays a bit busy, but fun!!
We love carving pumpkins it takes a lot of time to carve 8 pumpkins but we always get one for everyone. This year we got Xander a white one we thought that white was kind of appropriate for him. We just carved his initials in it. I love how all the pumpkins turned out, we always let the kids just choose their own design so they are always very unique. But this year I forgot to get a pic of the finished pumpkins, but trust me they were great!!!
Last year when I took the kids pics I borrowed my BIL nice camera, as you can tell this year I didn’t. I have a friend who has photo shop and I’m hoping she can help fix some of the lighting issues otherwise I guess I’ll borrow my BIL camera and try and to get some better shots. BLAH!!!
Yep we found it the lamest pumpkin patch maybe on the planet. Oh well we have lots more to choose from for next year, hopefully we find a good one!
We were lucky to have some of our very favorite people on the planet come and stay with us over conference weekend. We miss these guys so much! You are only blessed so often with friends that feel like family but for us the Dyches family is just that! LOVE YOU GUYS!!
WE LOVE AUNT JORDAN!!! And were very happy to spend her birthday with her and eating yummy stuff!
Kaylynn’s first big project of her 6th grade year was to do and interview with the oldest person that she knows. She was able to interview her great grandma Emery who is 95. It was a really neat experience for her and for us to listen to grandma Emery tell about her life and growing up. Kaylynn also had to bring in some artifacts from a long time ago and display them. When I track down her notes from the interview I'll post it here very neat to read.
Kaylynn-6th, Paytyn- 4th and Tanner-2nd. The bigs as I like to call them stated school on August 20th (also our 14th anniversary). Aftyn our little kindergartener starter the next week on the 27th. Aftyn is in afternoon kindergarten and loves it so far. The other kids especially Kaylynn have mixed reviews for their teachers this year. Paytyn actually changed teachers after the first week because the 4th grade was so HUGE they had to find another teacher, but she liked both teachers so win, win. Tanner doesn’t say much about his teacher or school in general. Then there is poor Kaylynn who has a teacher that is and older lady that ( according to Kaylynn) has and annoying habit of talking like a baby whenever there are no adults around. She also doesn’t know what to do with a smart girl, she told Kaylynn “I don’t know what to do with you, you already know everything”, so then she let Kaylynn read all morning. I can’t say I thrilled about that, about her telling her she knows everything and about letting her read all morning but hopefully I can go in and talk to her teacher or something. I also taught 6th grade so I might have some enrichment activities around here somewhere. Well get it worked out, or it will be one boring year for her.
I can’t believe summer is over, we sure had a fun one!
Coming March 6th 2014! I obviously have all kinds of things I could write about, how the pregnancy is going (great) , how I feel about being pregnant again (nervous, excited, blessed, nervous, did I mention nervous?). But I don’t feel like it. I will say I had my first appointment today besides me crying way more than I expected; everything is looking great so far. I found out that I am the perfect candidate for a VBAC so AWESOME! The only rule my doctor has is that I have to go into labor by myself which up to this point I haven’t. But I have never went more than 3 days late before I let them induce me. The doctor seemed pretty confident that they would be able to get me to go into labor, I won’t elaborate on that.
I can’t wait to hold this little baby in my arms.
A simple question really, but I hate it. It breaks my heart. Maybe it’s because I have been asked that question so many times lately, the easy answer is “yes” but the correct answer is “no”. Some things just really suck! (sorry if you don’t like the word suck, but it’s the nicest word I could use) Thankful that our new baby will put that stupid question to bed!!
