I can't believe that our little girl is one. Where did the time go? Aftyn we are all so lucky to have you in our family. You make us all laugh with your silly faces and cute personality.
WE LOVE YOU

I made Aftyn's cake. Notice how shiny the dolls face is?
I melted part of it off when I lit the candle... oh well!

These very blue pools of boiling water are all over geyser land in Yellowstone. They are so beautiful and deadly. I never got tired of looking at them.

Yellowstone 2009
Day 1

We left on Wednesday around 7 and drove to Missoula Montana were we stayed the night. We arrived in pretty good time because we told the kids if we got there early enough they could swim in the pool. They had a great time except Aftyn who HATES swimming. So we stayed out while everyone else enjoyed themselves.

Day 2

Lewis and Clark Cavers and Ghost towns in Montana.

Nevada City and Virginia City Montana.

This is Lewis and Clark Caverns in Montana. It was fun and a little stressful. First you walk up the outside of a mountain for about 3/4 of a very steep mile. Paytyn cried the entire way up. So not like her, so I was worried about her in the cave but she was fine and very cautious. Tanner was crazy and I thought he might fall to his death. Thankfully we could get him to hold the railing most of the time and there weren't very many long drops. Aftyn screamed the first 20 min or so. We were suppose to be silent because of pregnant bats in the opening of the cave. Aften woke one of them up with her screaming and it was flying around our heads for a little while. Kaylynn was ready and willing to do everything and always way ahead. Making me realize when the last child is 7 that will be very nice. But after Aftyn stopped screaming and went to sleep, Paytyn quelled her nerves and Tanner decided to hold on tight we had a great time and it was really fun. I love caves and was glad to share that love with the kids they all thought it was very cool.
