Good Times in Seattle

This past weekend I was able to step away from the mommy life and spend sometime with my awesome and good friend Bobbi. Bobbi and I met at Ricks we were roommates our freshmen and sophomore years. We always had a lot of fun but the fun was all ruined when someone got married! (I couldn't help myself Cam is so darn cute) So she was in Seattle this past weekend with her husband. I haven't seen her for about 5 years. I was so glad to see that when you make a good friend in life no matter how many years may pass between visits, friendship doesn't change. We had a good time riding the Ducks, going to underground Seattle (something I highly recommend) and roaming a whole lot. It was so good to see you Bobbi I really do wish we could do it more often!

LETS GO FLY A KITE

for family home evening. Yes last Monday we tried to fly kites. Normally there is plenty of wind here for flying kites. Not so much on this Monday the kids had to keep running to keep their kites in the air. Look closely at one of the pictures (# 2 ) and you can see Tanner falling. For those who have never been here this is a little grassy area on the corner of our street. We had fun anyway!

Kaylynn's 7th Birthday Party

We had a cooking party. The kids made pizza, fruit salad, and decorated cupcakes. I also got an apron for each kid and had my friend sew their names on them (thanks Heather). Underneath their names we ironed on rhinestone cupcakes. (except the boy he got a skull and crossbones) The kids also went home with gift "bowls" in the bowls we put a spoon with sugar cookie mix and cutters and also a popsicle mold. Cam came up with a poem for the gift tag which read Thanks for coming to my party. I hope you had a bowl. I whisk you could stay longer but I will see you again spoon. Until then have fun cooking. I think everyone had a good time I sure did!

HAPPY #7 Kaylynn!!

Kaylynn seventh birthday was on April 15th. Yes tax day. When we had Kaylynn the nurses were trying to get us to name her something that would make her initials be IRS because our last name starts with an S. I'm still glad we didn't do that. Kaylynn is such a joy to have in our family. She enjoys school, playing sports and her piano lessons. WE LOVE YOU KAYLYNN.

Easter

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It's a great time to remember all of our wonderful blessings! This past weekend we had some wonderful family time. We went to two neighborhood egg hunts and one ultimate egg hunt in our home. We also colored eggs and of course went to church.

Happy Birthday Tanner!

Tanner had his third birthday today and we spent it at McDonalds. Maybe not the coolest party ever but Cam has school tonight and it was the only time we had together as a family. Tanner said he had a great time. One funny thing today was when anyone would say "Happy Birthday" instead of saying something like thank you he would say "Happy Birthday too me!" It was very cute. Tanner, we are so glad you are in our family!

Sunny Day!

We finally had warm weather! The kids and I have spent the last two days outside without jackets! It was a very nice change and got us very excited for summer! Unfortunately... I think it's back to jacket weather.
